THE DRAMA SPOT CAMP

The Drama Spot Summer Camp aims to foster creativity and imagination by encouraging students to express themselves through storytelling, improvisation, and role-playing. It seeks to build confidence and communication skills by helping students develop public speaking abilities and stage presence. Through ensemble-based activities, the camp promotes teamwork, empathy, and cooperation, enhancing social and emotional skills. Participants will also be introduced to the fundamentals of theater, including character development, acting techniques, and stage direction. Ultimately, the camp strives to inspire a lifelong interest in the performing arts through fun, engaging, and interactive experiences.

ROBOTICS & ENGINEERING

The Robotics and Engineering Camp is a week-long, hands-on program designed to introduce students to robotics, engineering principles, and problem-solving through STEM-based activities. Participants will engage in building and programming robots, exploring mechanical and electrical engineering concepts, and working on collaborative projects. The camp will incorporate interactive challenges, team-based competitions, and guided instruction to inspire innovation and creativity in young learners.

GARDEN GOURMETS SUMMER CAMP

Welcome to our 8-week program for kids, where gardening, homesteading, and cooking come together for an unforgettable learning experience! Through hands-on activities and outdoor exploration, children will delve into the wonders of nature and sustainable living. They’ll learn essential gardening skills, from planting seeds to harvesting fresh produce, gaining an appreciation for the earth’s bounty and the importance of healthy food choices. In our cooking classes led by a chef from Cultivate Food Rescue, young chefs will transform their harvest into delicious meals, honing culinary skills and discovering the joy of preparing wholesome dishes from scratch. Join us for a journey of discovery, where kids cultivate a deeper connection to the natural world and develop lifelong skills for a sustainable future.

CODING & GAME DEVELOPMENT

Give your child a hands-on experience in coding and game design—right here in South Bend. Unlike other camps, we combine technical skills with creativity, empowering students to build their own video games from scratch. What Makes Us Different? Multi-Platform Learning: Students create games using Scratch, Python or JavaScript, and Bloxels—blending coding with creative design. Students present and play their own custom games at the end of camp.

JUNIOR MAKERSPACE & INVENTORS CAMP

The Junior Makerspace & Inventors Camp is a hands-on exploration of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving. Designed for young innovators, this camp introduces students to design thinking, prototyping, and invention using tools like Bloxels, LEGOs, Makey Makey, and LittleBits. Participants will tinker, build, and experiment to bring their ideas to life, learning the fundamentals of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) along the way.
Each day, students will engage in guided challenges that foster critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. Whether designing a Rube Goldberg machine, constructing a working circuit, or programming a simple game with Bloxels, students will develop essential skills for innovation.

The Outdoor Adventures & Environmental Science Camp is a hands-on, immersive experience that connects students with nature and explores the science of the environment. Students will explore ecosystems, learn about sustainability, and develop an appreciation for the natural world around them.
